A Gigabit of this, a Megabyte of that.

When techie folk start talking about Gigabytes (GB) and Megabytes (MB), most people's eyes begin to glaze over. They know they *have* Gigabytes, somewhere, maybe on their phone. But they don't know what they can do with them and whether you can fit a 100 movies into a kilobyte (KB) or a text into ten of those....terrorbites :).

Below is a graphic I put together to - hopefully- explain things a bit more easily. The conversion from one size to another is similar to mm/cm/m/km - multiples of 1000, and you can see the order below. But what's most useful about the picture is the examples of how these sizes translate into actual items on your computer or devices. Enjoy!
